Support A DJ in the Territories!

This film project was submitted to the Films of Resistance collective as a potential recipient of future screening profits. Anyone in the world can put on a film chosen from the FoR database and after covering their costs are encouraged to contribute to the development of filmmaking efforts on the ground.

FoR recommend a number of initiatives and one of them is this:

Fadi, a 25-year-old DJ, lives at the top of a hill overlooking a valley on the outskirts of a Palestinian village. His girlfriend, Sandy, a graffiti artist, frequently sneaks over with gas to fuel his DJ set. The pair, part of the new generation, conjure up new and clever ways to resist oppression. One day, Israeli settlers arrive on the other side of the valley, preparing to seize his home by force. Fadi must use the sounds of war to ward off intruders. However, each noise attack uses precious fuel. With little time and gas remaining, Fadi has few options left to save his land.

Directed by Mohammed Abugeth, "A DJ in the Territories" brings together cast and crew from Berlin, Palestine, and Italy. The team has managed to raise upwards of €17,000 and need around €3,000 to get them over the finish line.

You can read more about the project and donate here and get in touch with us or FoR with any questions.
