Lebanon Cinema Days in the UK

Monday 25 May 2026

Lebanon Cinema Days is a programme run in various countries by The Beirut Film Society, whose mission it is to transform the Lebanese immigrant journey into a cinematic celebration — connecting Lebanon and the host countries through films shaped by adaptability, resilience, and identity.

We don’t just screen films; we document memory. Through cultural diplomacy and storytelling, we give voice to those who crossed continents and generations — and invite new audiences into that dialogue. Lebanon Cinema Days is for all those who carry Lebanon in their hearts — and all those ready to discover it for the first time, from Canada to USA to the UK, and to all the corners of the world.

The Beirut Film Society team has curated this new programme of Lebanes films that are fresh off the festival circuit, with as many shorts and features they could squeeze into this 4 day run.

Do You Love Me and A Sad and Beautiful World have been talked about for months, so I can imagine audiences will be seeking those screenings out. Another screening brings together some brand new short films showcasing a new generation of filmmakers and the burgeoning talent and dynamism of the Lebanese art and culture scene despite the extreme violence and threats the country is currently being subjected to.

The screenings run from 6 - 12 June at the Garden Cinema in London.
